UPS delivered a package yesterday that they originally claimed to have delivered on 12/18. Amazon long ago send me another one. It would have been easier had this one never showed up, since now I have to send one of the copies back.

Actually, now I have to figure out how to send one back first, since the normal returns form on the website say that is is outside of the returns window.

Earth Day introduces yet another way to annoy me

For Earth Day, the cafeteria at work sold "no beef products and limited cheese products". To heck with that; I come from a long line of cow murderers and I'm not sorry.

Besides, the implication that *all* cows are bad for the environment will hurt the cows' feelings, and surely there must be someone who will protest that.

Fedex scares me again

I came home to find a Fedex door tag that had "on porch" written on it. Mind you, I live in a 2nd floor apartment with no back entrance, so I was immediately confused by where the delivery might actually be.

It was *really* on my second floor porch with no back entrance.

Delivery Exception

So far, Fedex has screwed up 2 of 2 shipments related to my broken cell phone.

The first shipment was scanned as delivered but put back on the truck. It was found back at the depot, but they had to look it up by address since the tracking number was scanned at "delivery" and the door tag number was never scanned at all.

The second shipment was standard overnight but did not leave Memphis until 6:41 am so it didn't get to Portland until after the delivery trucks had already left. I paid AT&T an extra $12 to send it overnight.
